Unusual clicking sound from MSI RTX 4070 SUPER during usage changes.
I’m experiencing some strange behavior with my graphics card lately. It’s been acting up since yesterday, especially when it’s ramping up or down during gameplay. There’s a faint clicking sound whenever it’s using more or less power, like when loading screens appear or when I close the application. The noise is subtle but noticeable enough to hear without headphones on. It seems to originate from the back-right side of the card, though I’m not entirely sure. This issue has appeared after only a day since purchase, and the card is brand new from Best Buy. I’ve checked several things: removed it, unplugged cables, confirmed no obstructions, tested fans with Afterburner, and verified the system isn’t making any unusual noises. I recorded the sound if you’d like to listen: [link]. Could this be a problem I should investigate further? Any additional details would help me better understand what’s going on. Thank you for your assistance.
It seems you were expecting a certain sound from the PSU but noticed it's not there. I heard some noise near the graphics card area, which might explain what you were thinking. Thanks for sharing your observations and asking for more guidance!
