I created my own PC yesterday. It functioned perfectly with the old SSD and Windows 8. After reinstalling Windows, I tried W8 but ended up updating to W8.1. The process is now working smoothly. What’s going on?

Attempt to start in safe mode, turn off every boot option at once, then turn them back on individually to identify the issue.
