Hello. It seems there have been some issues since upgrading to Windows 10. Initially, the display driver for my NVIDIA card stopped working and would reset often. Game performance was slightly affected, but the system didn’t freeze significantly. Recently, my computer crashed and the American Megatrends display indicated an overclock failure. I lowered it to 4 and it started working again, though the same problems returned later. Now I’m experiencing lag after waking from sleep—chrome and text freeze, frames skip, and the desktop takes a long time to boot. It happened suddenly. I tried restarting, but it took ages and even went into sleep mode while trying to shut it down. The overclock failure screen appears, but the CPU isn’t overclocked despite clearing CMOS and resetting BIOS. I’m facing all these issues at once, and I’m struggling to figure out what’s going on. Please help!

Specs: CPU 5820K (stock), Cooler Master Kraken X61, 16GB DDR4 RAM, Ripjaws 2666, MSI GTX 970, M.2 SSD, Crucial M550 SSD, WD Black HDD (750GB).

Thanks.

Nvidia drivers remain unstable on Windows 10, according to forum discussions. Using software OC seems normal, but BIOS OC raises concerns—possibly due to memory usage. A leak appears unaddressed, causing longer hibernation times (around 10-15 seconds now vs. faster on older versions).

Its BIOS is still trying to overclock and keeps complaining even after clearing CMOS and resetting the BIOS settings (defaults). It takes about 5 minutes for the PC to shut down, and it stayed asleep during the restart window. Next time I’ll check the memory.
