It seems like the Windows 20H2 version has disrupted alt-tabbing behavior. Even with tabs closed, switching between windows feels inconsistent—sometimes jumping to unexpected tabs and messing up the order of open windows. Have you noticed similar issues with other users?

You're observing a behavior where the order of open windows affects their position. It seems like the system is prioritizing the last window opened first, then cycling through the next ones. This can happen with certain applications or settings. Example: Firefox opens first, then Discord, and finally the Nvidia Control Panel. When you switch back to Firefox, it appears in a different order due to how the taskbar and alt tabs handle the sequence.

If you're using Firefox, Discord, Word Open, the usual flow is: Discord > Firefox > Discord > Firefox > Discord. But instead it looks like: Discord > Firefox > Word > Discord > Word > Firefox > Discord > Firefox > Discord > Word > Discord > Word. It's weird, right? Seems normal at first but then it messes up after a while.

It relates to how the active window changes no matter the arrangement of tasks on the taskbar.

On your machine it functions properly, but you're attempting to modify the modern Alt-Tab shortcut into a classic XP-style icon using a registry entry. It seems there might be an issue with the updated preview mode.
