Hey everyone, this audio issue pops up when the CPU runs at low load. I noticed it disappears during stress tests with programs like OCCT or Prime95. I’ve tried many fixes—changing drivers, USB soundcards, different headsets, disabling audio enhancements, updating firmware, and even using a new GPU. Everything seems to work smoothly now. What’s causing this problem?

Recent updates on system information and chipset software. Any modifications to the BIOS?

Yes, I encountered the problem with the default settings, XMP enabled, and Kombo Strike 3 on my MDS motherboard. I tested everything individually now and am using Kombo Strike 3 and XMP.

It seems I’m experiencing latency in LatencyMon now, which might help pinpoint the issue.

nothing that would be worth mentioning, only my browser and discord. FWIW: it wasnt really consistent latency in latencymon, mostly just a quick spike, here is a quick test i just did

Which audio device are you connecting—onboard chip with copper or fiber, USB headset, wireless? Are you using the soundbar or similar? Have you tried SFC/SCANOW or reinstalled audio codecs?

I've tested various soundcards, including those with built-in headsets in the dongle. I also tried sfc /scannow, but it didn't work. My old 1800X is functioning perfectly now, so I'm going to return the 5800X3d for replacement.

I wonder if the codec is positioned between the output and the drivers. The sound has many layers to set up, which can cause problems, but it seems like the issue might be with the CPU.
