I'm dealing with an unusual boot issue that's really puzzling. After a week of searching, I still can't pinpoint a clear cause. The problem occurs consistently: when I turn off my PC at night and restart the next day, the screen remains blank despite powering on. Initially, it took me more than four hours to get it to POST again. I tried several fixes—swapped out the GPU, re-seated the CPU, reset CMOS by removing the battery, and even removed the DIMM from the B2 slot to boot with a single stick. Each time, the system would start working properly.
I suspected a memory issue first, but when I reinserted the same stick, it functioned correctly. Later, after removing the suspected stick again, everything worked flawlessly. This pattern repeats every time the PC sits idle for a while before being restarted. My machine is quite old—about nine years now—and I've kept it well-maintained. It runs Windows 10 21H1 and uses several high-end components, including an Intel Core i5-4460 with a Hyper 212 Evo cooler, a Corsair Vengeance Pro RAM, and other premium parts. I haven't overclocked anything except for enabling XMP profiles.

Did you check the battery’s voltage before pulling it out? A reading of 3.2V is acceptable, but 3V indicates a problem. It might be best to swap in the CMOS battery first.
I attempted the battery swap but it didn’t work. The issue persists. Might this be connected to a software problem, or is your PC failing to shut down correctly? I’ve noticed some videos showing the task manager monitoring processor activity even after shutdown.
