Unusual activity on the network Problem detected with connectivity and performance
I received a stable internet connection of 700 megabits. The connection starts from the modem, goes through the router, then to two switches, and finally reaches the two TVs. However, there is an issue: on both TVs, the speed drops to around 100 megabits (actual values are closer to 90), whereas it should be higher. If I turn off hardware acceleration in the router, both TVs show 90 Mbps. On the computer, the speed falls to 300 Mbps or less. When I enable hardware acceleration and connect the TV directly to the router, the speed remains at 90 Mbps. Now I’m wondering why the connection through the switches is so slow and how can I improve it without disabling hardware acceleration in the router?
I received two switches—one that works easily and another that’s tricky. Both cut power to the TVs.
The key question is whether it really matters. With speeds around 30-40Mbit, streaming services should be easy to handle. Are you trying to measure performance on your TVs?
I support wireless connections up to 300Mbps, but I wanted to find out why this issue is happening.
