Playing Halo Infinite triggered a low battery alert because the charger was missing from the plug. After clicking okay and restoring it, performance dropped sharply—smooth 55-60fps turned into noticeable pixelation at 240p, then to around 12-13fps overall. It felt like the system was running under Intel Atom Windows 11. The boot took about a minute to load the desktop, and right-clicking the desktop took roughly 20 seconds to register. Currently, it's running a Bitdefender virus scan since I’m unsure what else might be causing this. Hardware specs: HP Victus 15 R7 5800H, 16GB RAM, 3200MHz, 3050TI, 512GB NVMe, 1080p display at 144Hz. Thermal readings are very low. Any suggestions?

It might have transitioned to battery-saving mode at the time, causing it to remain there unintentionally.

Equitable though; a power-saving feature wouldn't transform it into a 10-year-old tablet with top performance once it restarts on a desktop.

No, the battery saver doesn't place the system in a completely inactive state.

Performance is lower, but on a desktop it works smoothly with basic needs.

Performance seems to have suddenly improved and is even more effective than before. The most unusual fix.
