Unusual actions from the computer after the repair.
Hi guys, Info about the hardware: Cpu: I7 2700k Mainboard: GA-Z68X-UD7-B3 Power supply: bequiet 530w CPU cooler: Thermalright Macho Rev. A Have noticed a very strange behavior on my motherboard. Wanted to upgrade and have installed another bundle with current motherboard and CPU - PC did not start. Now I have my old bundle back in and that wouldn't boot either at first. I only got it to start when I leave a certain RAM slot empty and do not connect my case cooler. The RAM slot was previously occupied and is also the only one that is still free, now have a 4GB bar less in it. I am even sure that the connector for the case fans was also connected before. Am perplexed. The crazy thing: The case fans are spinning, so seem to be working, even though only CPU Fan is connected (Custom CPU Fan). PC shut down again, Case Fans connected, PC does not start again. A LED lights up, which could mean overvoltage or something like this (The LED states are unfortunately very poorly described in the manual). My CPU temps are between 30-50 degrees when not playing demanding games. Can you explain this? Are the case fans powered by something else? PS: This could also be the reason why the new MB didn't start, unfortunately I don't have it anymore. Had not dared to start it without housing fans. Was there probably too anxious. Here is a Video: No_Case_Fan (streamable.com) Thanks already
