Using X-Plane 11 as an example (though similar issues appear in other tough games), I notice that when my GPU usage reaches nearly 99%, the frame time becomes highly unstable and spikes at very short, regular intervals. This leads to noticeable stutter even when the frame rate is high.
I've experimented with various freeframe settings, gsync compatibility, vsync modes, and ncp latency adjustments, but nothing resolves the problem. Any suggestions on what might be causing this?

I set the frame rate to 30 fps to reduce the GPU workload noticeably. It runs smoother now, though there are still some minor microstutters (not obvious from the FPS graph), but locking to 29 fps has eliminated them so far. What’s the reason?

And here it is without a fps lock again. I don't know if this is really a gpu issue, i feel like if it was, other XPlane users would experience the same thing at high gpu loads

I received an RTX 4060 and my performance dropped significantly, though it still occurs. Even when locked at 60 frames, the graph displays oscillations, although the stutters are less intense. Interestingly, turning off the MSI Afterburner graph seems to resolve the problem, but activating it again causes it again. Similarly, switching it off also leads to issues. I’m not sure if this is connected to freesync/gsync.

The brand and model of the PSU are unknown. The SSD capacity is unclear.
