Sure, I can try to speed that CPU on your specific motherboard. Many people have successfully boosted an FX 9590 on the M5A97 LE Rev 2.0, but it’s not advisable to push a high-power 8-core processor beyond its limits—it could be dangerous and might even cause a fire. Overheating the VRM can lead to serious issues. If you still want to try, adding copper heatsinks to the MOSFET and increasing fan speeds might help, though results are uncertain. There are some guides on YouTube that could assist.
Sorry, I understand you did reference it earlier, but there are several versions of the M5A97, and your setup only includes a 4+2 power phase, which doesn't qualify as an overclocking board. Are you adjusting the voltage yourself or relying on auto?
I own the m5a97 LE model
This is even worse than the M5A97 Rev 2.0
🙁
If you're planning to push the 8350's performance on this platform, I recommend boosting airflow and using passive cooling to manage heat from the VRM, but don't go overclocking too much.
As mentioned before, I’m not aiming for advanced or overclocking techniques, but I’m sure I can manage to boost this device! I just don’t know the right steps... Here’s a video I saw, it didn’t really help much!
