I operate on a second-generation Ryzen machine without a built-in GPU, using Ubuntu as my host. Windows 10 runs through GPU passthrough on a guest RX590 without any issues. However, when trying Windows 7 either via BIOS or UEFI, I consistently encounter a code 12 error—possibly different reasons behind it. Is this a recognized problem, and are there solutions available?

No thought, but a silly question—why move from Windows 10 to the outdated version 7 when it’s still functional?
