Your home already has Ethernet wiring, and having a single jack in your bedroom isn’t enough for more devices. Installing a switch there would effectively provide the additional connections you need.

Adding a switch means all ports connect to one shared line, leading to the router/switch at the opposite end. If gigabit isn't required for each device, it should work fine. Just note that using other ports for streaming might cause slowdowns depending on your activity.
