I really need someone to talk to... I'm completely confused. I just installed a new PC in August this year. Since then, I've experienced many crashes—both with the machine itself and while playing games. It began with screen freezes and all input delays. The only solution was turning it off and turning it back on. Less often, I've faced complete system shutdowns where it restarts automatically without warning. These have happened only a few times. So far, I've managed just one BSOD. Mostly, those first two problems seem to have improved... or at least lessened. Still, I can't be sure what will happen next. All these issues have affected my gaming too. Unlike other reports I've seen online, mine doesn't occur in a predictable window. Sometimes it happens right after launching a game or after 15 minutes, while other times I play for hours without any problems. That makes it hard to tell if the troubles are resolved or not. I've tried nearly every troubleshooting method I could find, and I'm running out of ideas. That's why I reached out here. I don't want to waste anyone's time, but I have no other choice except to return a replacement.

Games: BeamNG.drive
When Beam crashes, I get error code 0x00000001. This suggests a card or driver problem.

Fortnite System Info: ZOTAC Gaming RTX 3060Ti 32 GB DDR5 Crucial Ram.. Thinks 5600mhz 1TB 970 EVO Plus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus Wi-Fi Corsair RM750x PSU Intel i7 12700k running Windows 11 - 64 Bit. Stress tested CPU with Cinebench, GPU with HEAVEN benchmark, RAM with a USB bootload benchmark. All metrics stable—no issues.

Windows 11 fresh install from flash drive. Ran games as admin. Verified game files and system integrity via command prompt check. A few corrupted files were found but fixed.

Installed new drivers (546 just before writing this) and encountered prior issues. Reset BIOS, didn't overclock, no event viewer beyond kernel power warnings during crashes.

I've seen a lot of advice online and checked forums, but I'm still trying to figure things out. Thanks for any help!

I'll examine it. I've already updated Windows, but I'll attempt to restart the driver components.

The issue isn't resolved yet. You're experiencing repeated crashes after completing the setup steps. Consider reaching out for a return or replacement.

Welcome! Thank you for sharing all your information upfront and following the 'read before you post' guide. You're welcome to request a replacement if needed. It seems you've already done quite a bit of troubleshooting. If you'd like to investigate further, consider checking the Kernel Power failure logs. If every report points to the same CPU number, it could mean a single core requires a small voltage adjustment. If multiple cores are mentioned, a broader voltage change might be necessary. Check your UEFI settings for XMP support on your RAM—disable it temporarily to see if crashes improve. Running the system with just one RAM stick can also help identify the issue. For your motherboard, Slot A2 is where you install a RAM module. Please share what you discover and let us know.

Erm. Danke!

It seems my Events might have been swapped in Event Viewer. Some failures show a CPU core number in the description. After reviewing, I believe Event ID 14 (Kernel Power Failures) usually doesn't list the specific CPU core and core number as an issue.

I just reviewed a discussion from last year about the Kernel Power thread. It seemed they linked it to AutoDesk tools like AutoCAD. Interestingly, I use that software too. I decided to remove it. They concluded the SSD was defective. I performed some tests using the Samsung software and everything looks fine with mine. I’ll update later after switching RAM sticks and uninstalling AutoCAD. It’s possible the issue isn’t related, but I’m still checking!

Others talked about voltages and connecting both power supply cables to the CPU, which might have caused problems similar to what you're experiencing.

I've collected some crash logs unique to Fortnite. It's not clear what they mean yet.

Yes, it’s better to connect just the 8-pin cable. Try it and check if the problem gets fixed. If it still doesn’t work, increase the RAM voltage from 1.2 volts to 1.25 volts and see if that helps. Do you have a 2x 16GB RAM or a 4x 8GB RAM setup?
