Unlocking the 4th core requirement for Athlon ii X3 450

I'm preparing to purchase an Athlon II X3 450 and noticed it supports unlocking the fourth core. I'm curious if there are specific minimum requirements for power supply or motherboard compatibility, such as using an HP DC5850 SFF.

Mobo has be compatible with at least 4 cores and to be able to raise voltage in BIOS because you will need to do that. x3 processor is same as 4 core with one core that didn't meet factory minimum specs. There's no guarantee it will enable one more core, just a slight chance.
Check what BIOS is capable of first.
