Are there any standard detachable microphones available for the market? Can I utilize replacement microphones from different headset manufacturers?

It's not very stable, but it works. Just use some putty or hot glue to secure it. I think no ordinary mic will fit better than one made specifically for the model. It also seems like a fairly inexpensive headset; if it's out of warranty and you're okay with it, just get a replacement.
