I plan to download it today and give it a try. Honestly, I’m leaning toward using Engines for learning rather than making games. I’m still a college student, but I really enjoy expanding my knowledge. My field of study is Computer Science.

I enjoy Unity more and prefer C# over C++, which is a nice advantage. Both tools are highly customizable, meaning there isn't a clear winner between them. For performance, UE tends to perform better overall; however, with IL2CPP coming up, Unity can bridge the gap significantly. Ultimately, choose what feels right for you—both can deliver great outcomes with dedication.

I was surprised to learn that UE uses C++. It seems to work well with them. The main distinction between the two lies in particle effects. Probably it comes down to our own creativity and ambition for a great project. It really depends on the developers—experienced, inspired ones might make an amazing game in Unity 5.0, while less skilled teams could struggle in UE. I favor an engine with more learning opportunities. I tend to get really interested when I see videos or websites and become fascinated by how others achieved it. I dislike closed systems; which one offers better community support? People who can answer questions and share many YouTube tutorials.

presently this area is mainly controlled by Unity—but soon there will be significantly more high-quality tools for newcomers, especially free and open-source options that help attract users quickly. Still, it's uncertain how useful a game engine will be in a few years. A lot can change. Additionally, much of the knowledge needed to build games involves general concepts rather than engine-specific techniques. Ultimately, staying curious and exploring beyond familiar methods is key, rather than repeating the same actions endlessly.

This discussion is completely out of place but honestly, it's pretty wild.

Thanks for your feedback! I'll aim to try new approaches and keep learning. Your encouragement keeps me motivated to explore UE further. Unity remains an option if needed, but I'm open to experimenting. Keep the conversations going—it helps clarify things. P.S.: If this stays a report, I'm happy to delete it.
