Hi, for your MacBook Air from mid-2011, you can try installing Unity 5 by downloading the official Unity installer from their website. Ensure you have enough storage space. Once installed, launch Unity and check the system requirements—typically it needs at least a recent macOS version and a decent processor. The "standard assets" folder is usually sufficient for basic development. If issues persist, consider updating your OS or using a compatible older version of Unity.

Your laptop should manage this task. I believe you're using macOS, not Windows. It shouldn't be installed as a standalone app—check the Launchpad for its presence.

You're using the newest OS X version, but the search tool isn't displaying results. Try checking the app store or system settings for updates.

You're not familiar with OSX yet? Installing software usually means dragging it into the app folder, right? If that sounds confusing, a fresh install might be better.

I've already reinstalled it five times with no improvement. I'll attempt moving the standard assets to the applications folder.
