Unique Symbols for Shortened Links (Like Steam) Becoming Unclear
Hey there, I've noticed a persistent problem across Windows 7 to the latest Windows 10 versions. When using shortcuts like Steam or Uplay, icons in the folder change size depending on whether you're viewing them in list mode or small icons. In normal settings everything works smoothly, but when the window size is increased to medium or large, some icons stay tiny while others display correctly. This issue only seems to fix temporarily by renaming the same .ico file for each shortcut. Switching sizes from small to medium usually resolves it. After a restart, the problem can reappear unpredictably, sometimes taking time to return to normal. Occasionally, it even disappears completely, but often it comes back without any clear pattern. Personally, I prefer a more "launcher-style" appearance for my game folder, yet this bug stops me from achieving that look. Any suggestions or experiences could be helpful?
Checked the icon cache clearing options for Windows 7 and 8. Also reviewed instructions for clearing the thumbnail cache on Windows 10.
Yea, forget to mention I tried all of that. Neighter did it work on Windows 7 or 10 unfortunatly. Sometimes restarting explorer.exe had the same effects like restarting.
