The title accurately describes the situation. Accidentally changed the settings to 5ghz, couldn't return, uninstalled the MSI afterburner, removed profiles, but it's still present.

MSI Afterburner is unrelated to CPU overclocking. Access BIOS and select the "Set all to default" choice. If unavailable, reset CMOS using the instructions in the MoBo manual and continue.

I don't know if I misread the title, but I accidentally set the core clock to 5000mhz by accident (the broken HDD caused the PC to freeze, and after it restarted it was at 5ghz).
EDIT: I'll check the BIOS when I get home.
