Unexpected VGA illumination appearing on a functioning computer system
Hi, today something unexpected happened with my PC. I used it normally all day, turned it off without any updates, and when I powered it back on there was no display on the monitors. I looked in the MoBo for a debug light and confirmed the VGA indicator was lit. Here’s what I have: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK with the newest non-beta BIOS from last week, R7 2700, 16 GB RAM (two 8 GB slots), RTX 2060 with drivers from mid-May 2024. I tried several steps—re-seat GPU, check connections, re-seat RAM, reset CMOS, and booted with just one RAM stick. Also, I reset the BIOS via the motherboard. This is my first time facing an issue like this after years of using the system. Do you think anyone knows what might be wrong or how to fix it?
Sadly I can't, but as I've said, I've tried to reseat and try to boot with different sticks in different slots and got the same issue back Also, in the case of a faulty RAM, shouldn't the DRAM light turn on instead of the VGA? ..but I guess the same mechanism would apply if it was a cpu issue..
