It seems your computer behaves oddly under certain conditions. Some programs load slowly only when you use specific apps like Discord or Steam, and updates take much longer than usual. Steam games also hang up during updates, stuck in the "Updating" state with no progress. Your internet speed is decent enough for gaming, but it feels sluggish. I've checked your system—Windows is current, drivers are updated, no malware detected, and disk health looks good. The issue might be related to background processes or network instability. Have you tried disabling startup programs or checking for software conflicts?

I think it's likely your modem or router is the issue. Try using https://fiber.google.com/speedtest/ to test your connection speed and check for jitter.

It seems like your connection is actually using powerline. The link you received isn't functioning for you, but your Cloudflare speed test shows low jitter under 5 ms. You probably don't need to restart the whole system unless you're experiencing ongoing issues.

I’m raising this thread because I’m still dealing with the problem. Here’s what I’ve done:
- Reset the links on my powerline and PC
- Ran /sfc scannow; no issues detected
- Reconnected the physical Ethernet cables on my PC; jitter remains under 5 ms, sometimes below 2 ms outside peak times.
Also noted that this issue appeared suddenly—everything was fine a couple of days ago.

I believe the fix came from adjusting your DNS configurations. Using Cloudflare and Quad9 might have been the cause of the problem. If this happened to you, review your DNS settings.

It could very well be the powerline connection that’s the real solution. They’re quite finicky. I’m okay using them for IoT gadgets or smart TVs, but for a main system they can cause major headaches. Still, if everything runs smoothly, you’re likely in the clear.
