Hey everyone, I've noticed my CPU usage dropping a lot while gaming lately, which is getting frustrating. I recently switched from the FX-6100 to the FX-8350 and had no issues before. The 6100 worked fine, but the 8350 caused problems from the start. I never overclocked myself, though. My brother did some light overclocking when he installed it, possibly adjusting core settings or clock controls. He unlocked something that changed core behavior, but I didn’t touch the CPU voltages. It’s possible BIOS settings or hardware issues are causing this. Thanks for any advice!

Have you kept an eye on the temps while gaming? Just to make sure you're not thermal throttling.

I have roughly 75 units from the noctua cooler and arctic mx-2, and I experienced similar temperatures on my 6100 with a different cooler and a 5-year-old paste.

I consider restarting the BIOS to erase any configurations it might have applied – simply to verify if that’s the root issue.
