Unexpected drop in brightness occurred!
Hello everyone, here are the details of your setup: an ASUS TUF Z370-Plus gaming motherboard paired with an Intel I7-8700K processor running at 3.7 GHz. It uses Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 8GB DDR4 RAM (CMR32GX4M4D3000C16) and a 2080 from MSI Corsair RM850 power supply. I've had this system for roughly two years until about three months ago when the PSU failed and needed replacement. Since then, everything has been stable except for a recent issue where the PC froze and required a hard restart. After several attempts, it wouldn't boot at all. Through troubleshooting, I discovered the problem might be related to a RAM stick in the B2 channel, which is the second closest slot to the CPU. All other slots and RAM are functioning properly. I'm currently using just two slots for a dual-channel ATM but would appreciate any advice on identifying the cause or checking if it's the motherboard, CPU, or another component that needs attention. Thanks for your help! Have a great night/weekend!
I've experienced issues with malfunctioning slots due to bent CPU pins. (This might not be the most likely cause.)
