Unexpected delays occur in video games.
I notice a delay that occurs every few seconds in games like CSGO and H1Z1, lasting about five seconds. It started recently even though I’ve adjusted settings like reducing audio and video. This is the first time it’s happened. All my hardware is current. My system specs include: motherboard AsRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0, AMD FX 8350 Black Edition CPU cooler, Corsair H55 RAM, 2x 8GB DDR3 SSD, Samsung 250 Evo SSD, Seagate 2TB HDD, Corsair CS750M GPU, and GTX 970.
It appears the issue is on the CPU side, not just related to the FX chip. This is what I'd anticipate from slow performance in the background. Perform a malwarebytes scan, look for extra programs, and track CPU usage over time.
Your connection seems stable. It doesn't appear to be affected by offline games.
Select power settings and choose high performance. Easy to use yet highly efficient.
Review temperatures for CPU, GPU and usage stats. Experiment with -Threads 4 (or 8) in launch settings for CS. Both titles (uncertain about H1, but likely CPU-heavy) are demanding on the processor. This could explain the drop in performance, though consistent FPS before suggests it might be a hardware issue. @Apparition Keep checking your updates.
