hey guys, I'm having trouble with random BSOD occurances sometimes whilst the computer is just idling on desktop, i uninstalled a bunch of software that i thought might have been the problem but still doesnt work. did memtest and used crystaldisk to test my hardware, everything ok, here's the whocrashed report: On Tue 4/22/2014 1:19:05 PM GMT your computer crashed crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\042214-17503-01.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: Unknown (0x00000000) Bugcheck code: 0x4A (0x76EA138A, 0x2, 0x0, 0xFFFFF88006798B60) Error: IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE Bug check description: This indicates that a thread is returning to user mode from a system call when its IRQL is still above PASSIVE_LEVEL. Similar issues have occurred with my previous setup too. It doesn’t seem like the memory problem, as the test ran smoothly. The only thoughts are about the motherboard—possibly the VRM is getting too hot, though I’m not certain. Intel CPUs usually use minimal power. What’s your airflow situation?
