You're facing an unusual drop in game performance. The issue seems to stem from the new SSD not being compatible with your current drivers or settings. Try using the older SATA SSD, which runs smoothly at higher speeds. Updating your Nvidia drivers to match the older clone's version also helped. If these steps don't resolve it, consider checking for SSD health or contacting support for further assistance.

If the issue isn't with the M.2 drive itself (such as when it's completely full), then the problem likely comes from something else you've added or running alongside the newer version that isn't present in the clone. Keep in mind that in modern Windows shutdowns, it doesn't mean a full restart—it just restarts the system.

Looking at the forums, it seems intriguing. It might be something you've added recently that's causing memory issues or a power drain (distinguishing it from a typical virus). Could you share your system's resource usage and temperatures during this time?

Thanks for your messages, Tetras and OddOod! Here’s a summary of the updates:

Resource usage during gameplay: CPU stayed low (8%-10%), RAM used about 30% of 32 GB, GPU activity was notable. After two hours at 15 FPS, I noticed performance drops. I changed SSDs with shutdown and restarted after updating drivers. No memory leak signs so far. The term "power virus" isn’t familiar to me, but it seems serious. I’m hoping the screenshots help clarify what’s happening. From what I understand, my fans are still normal for the past year.

I reviewed my downloads and found a few files:
- EpicInstaller-15.17.1.msi
- rufus-4.5p.exe
- Docker Desktop Installer.exe
- Samsung Smart.Switch.PC_setup.exe
- NVIDIA_app_beta_v10.0.0.499.exe

That’s it for this year.

I might test SFC/DISM first, though the clone could have broken something essential and you might need to reinstall Windows.

For the m2... if you value the data, create another backup (use a budget mechanical drive or whatever for that) and perform a fresh Windows installation on the m2. That’s the best way to verify, otherwise the m2 could fail. Regarding shutdown/restart, it depends on whether fast startup is turned off—if not enabled, restarting and shutting down are similar (it clears the cache). It’s not advised to enable fast startup, even though it’s the default in "modern Windows."

Also if the issue arises again, while the game is active, open Task Manager, then Resource Monitor and capture a screenshot of it.
