Hey there! I'm a newcomer, but I've got some experience with Dell laptops. I just bought the XPS 13 Plus with an i7-1360P processor. It tends to get pretty hot, especially when the battery isn't fully charged. To fix this, I disabled Turbo Boost in the BIOS. It might affect performance a bit, but since I mainly use it for work tasks, it shouldn't be too big of an issue. I've also heard that undervolting the CPU could help lower the temperature and save battery life. However, there seems to be some concern that this feature might be disabled in newer BIOS versions or by Intel for certain chips. I'm not planning to run third-party tools like ThrottleStop while using the laptop regularly, so if I can adjust settings through the BIOS, that would be ideal. Any advice or suggestions would be really appreciated! Thanks!

Intel has disabled the option to lower the voltage for this CPU. No BIOS settings exist, and tools like Intel XTU or ThrottleStop aren't supported for this model.

Thanks! It seems best to leave the Turbo Boost off, as maintaining the XPS's temperature is challenging for Dell.
