It won't impact them, though it might lead to instability. What's the reason for reducing the voltage? 1.2v isn't too high for a 8700k, if I were you I'd go up to 1.300 and check how much speed we can achieve... I'm lucky enough to get 5 GHz with no AVX offset at that voltage.

It may influence clocks; you have some flexibility if it's 63°C with or without the under-voltage.

I adjusted the voltage from stock to 1.2V, which caused a big drop in temperature—from 73°C to 56°C during operation. However, your R20 score fell from 4886 to 4568, indicating reduced performance.

Even if the results aren't perfect, it still shows a lot of thermal flexibility. For accurate testing of overclocking or voltage adjustments, running the real bench on Asus for an 8-hour session is recommended. If it succeeds, it's likely stable; otherwise, you're not ready. Applying undervolting to Intel won't improve performance—it just leads to crashes because of instability...
