Undervolted GPU fine?
Never tried it before but with the warm weather outside and my GPU getting hot and noisy, I decided to undervolt it. I got the same clock speed but less heat (from 78c peak to 72c peaks) and much quieter fans.
I did it using MSI afterburner by adjusting the voltage curve and setting a max volt / mhz with "L".

My updates before were 1.050V 1905 to 1920 mhz when gaming, after 0.950V 1920 to 1950 mhz when gaming.
My questions are:
1. Is it safe to leave it like this now? It’s stable, quieter, and cooler.
2. Why does it default to higher voltage if lower works and also improves speed and temperatures?
I have a 2080 Super Windforce Gigabyte with 9700k stock.
It's secure, superior compared to standard settings. Each GPU varies, requiring a suitable voltage that ensures stability for all GPUs while allowing many to operate efficiently at reduced levels.
