Which search engines rely on their own algorithms and which depend on others? Knowing this helps when trying to remove or promote content online. It's worth considering whether taking down a site like Google or Yahoo will cause its disappearance from other search engines that use them.

Google and Bing appear to be the leading ATM services. My business focuses on reaching users through these two search engines. For indexing purposes, I’m aware that Google, Bing, and Yahoo each have distinct methods. The others likely use them as well. Still, anything online will remain accessible unless you remove it. When search engines detect a page is no longer valid, they will exclude it from results. You can run free scans of websites using Google and Bing tools. As I remember, Yahoo requires payment.

All search engines have their unique algorithms, yet most share similarities. It's important to understand the specific algorithm for each engine you aim to rank on.
