My laptop (Dell G5 15 SE 5505) recently underwent a display assembly replacement. I've experienced overheating problems before and have resolved them myself. This time, the technician worked quickly and handled my device roughly. The heatsink was properly secured, but it didn’t prevent issues for a while. After removal, I replaced the thermal paste and attempted to reinstall the assembly as before. Despite this, my games crash after short play sessions, and the CPU is stuck at 0.39GHz. It’s unusual, and I’m unsure what to do next. Please help me. Thank you.

Use ThrottleStop to increase your CPU's speed, but monitor its heat closely. It probably slows down due to temperature constraints.

Absolutely, it's not about speeding things up—going slower is the goal, not faster.

I've heard that Dell laptops can throttle their CPUs to that frequency when there's an issue with the charger. If your CPU temperature is in check, this could be something to test for
