Someone else adjusts clock speed in summer too. Usually my UK temps hit around 60°C, but with the heat outside reaching 75°C, I’m considering lowering my OC to 4.7GHz at 1.2V to keep things cooler. Others probably do the same when it gets hot.

Intel-powered gaming laptops are built to handle extended use at high temperatures, often staying stable up to 90°C. Even servers placed in tight spaces remain operational around the clock. A comfortable 75°C is typical for normal performance. Reducing your CPU speed won’t affect how it feels, as it adapts to the environment.

I considered lifespan as being slightly above 1.31, since normal voltage plus heat isn’t ideal.

Too much voltage isn't ideal. 1.31v works just fine, a bit higher is okay too. 75c is also perfectly acceptable, especially for that kind of setup. Others have pushed their 8700k harder than this for years and remain functional. You're in a very well-tuned setup—probably stable for another three years unless things change.

Hey there, friend. I’m just getting more concerned since I keep running at a steady 1.31v without any offset.
