Hello, I just installed LMMS 1.1.3 from the provided link. I’m not entirely sure if it’s safe, but I checked my app list and noticed a "Uninstall" option. Since I didn’t mean to download it, I looked into what it might be. I discovered it could be a trojan or malware. I ran a scan, but no threats were found. Still, I’d appreciate more advice on how to handle this situation. Please note the screenshot you shared for reference.

Check alternative removal methods or settings. If it doesn’t appear in the uninstaller, try advanced options or third-party tools.

It might be hidden malware, I wouldn't rely on it if Malwarebytes can't find it... just to confirm.

Yes, you should begin by removing LMMS from your system.

Maybe it's just the uninstaller for LMMS. Look in the Start menu folder for LMMS if you find it. If not, right-click, choose more, then open file location, and check the properties again. If it points to the LMMS folder, that confirms it's part of the same installation.

Usually many programs include a specific uninstaller file (like uninstall.exe). I wouldn't be too concerned. Check the LMMS folder to confirm its presence.

I’d completely erase the drive, reinstall Windows and wipe everything, just in case. If it’s not malware that shows up on Malwarebytes (maybe it’s brand new), it’s probably just leftover files from the program. You mentioned a trojan called Uninstaller, but it could also be something else entirely.

It's simply part of the app and it won't uninstall Windows.

I discovered a malicious program named Uninstall, which is also referred to as the same trojan.
