Uncommon sound during Windows 10 boot-up

10-30-2020, 11:59 AM #1Hey everyone! I just upgraded my PC: 5800x MAG Msi x570 tomahawk (with built-in sound board), 32GB RAM, Corsair Venge RPro 1070 GTX (my old one), and Corsair RM850X. I’m facing a weird issue—I notice static noise on the left audio channel when I first turn it on. Once I play something else, the static disappears instantly. This only happens when the PC is off for a long time (like an 8-hour sleep), but it works fine when I power it back on right away. The problem persists with all my peripherals and isn’t related to my speakers or headphones. It’s the same on every device connected to the motherboard. I’m using the latest Windows update and the audio driver link you shared. Do you know if there are other drivers available that match my motherboard? Any suggestions would be super helpful! I’m getting really frustrated and it’s hard to test since I need to turn it off for hours to see the issue. Thanks!

10-30-2020, 01:02 PM #2Is your phone or another device emitting signals close to the left speaker? If it’s within range, you might hear random static sounds even when no audio is playing. This could indicate a grounding problem where static accumulates over time. Are you using an outdated power adapter, or is your computer connected via a separate wall outlet while peripherals like speakers are plugged in?
The issue isn't with your speakers or headphones. It seems to be related to the soundboard, as static noise persists even when using different peripherals or playing other sounds on the PC. It might be connected to the current source. Could it cause additional problems?
