Hey everyone, I've been in the input lag forums for a while and usually have smooth, lag-free builds. About eight months ago, I bought a used INNO3D RTX 3060 to swap in my old Zotac GTX 1650. At first it was rough—clocks locked, P0 forced, different PSUs, BIOS changes, drivers, Windows versions from 7 to 10, even on a server. It helped a bit, but once I plugged in the GTX 1650 again, things improved significantly. Any advice or tips would be super helpful!

gigabyte Z390 gaming x intel i7 - 9700f (all c states turned off, clocks at peak, temperatures stable) 100mhz base frequency. 16gb corsair vengence 3200mhz inno3d RTX 3060 Twin x2 audio device (pci lanes remain separate)

It seems you're asking about input latency in terms of high frame delay rather than general input response time. Your 3060 appears to be handling the workload adequately, especially with the latest driver updates. The GPU load doesn't seem to be a major issue based on your setup.

1080p performance is smooth without any bottleneck issues. The GPU usage is around 60%, and the CPU isn’t at its maximum. It’s not about input lag; I’m consistently running better than with the GTX 1650, and I’ve confirmed this through multiple tests.

You're seeing roughly the same frame rate as in the 1650? Which game are you running? It might just be an optimization issue or a cap. If it's dropping below that level, that's definitely a concern. What's your power settings?

Even higher specifications! But honestly, my performance is pretty poor... I probably got it used, maybe the other person had a problem too...

The 1650 model offers more frames than expected. What voltage rating do you have? Its peak current limit is 75W, while the 3060 can handle up to 225W. There may be an issue with your power consumption.

It seems you're referring to the RTX 3060's performance, specifically its high frame rate at 750 watt hours.

If your 3060 runs at a higher framerate, that’s completely normal. Your performance issues seem more related to your own skill level rather than hardware problems. It might just be that you’re not used to the increased speed. You don’t seem to experience input lag or frame latency as described.
