Hello, you're planning a CPU and motherboard upgrade. It sounds like you already understand the process and know what parts you need. Swapping components should generally work fine, but reinstalling Windows and updating the BIOS might be required depending on your motherboard model and firmware version. Backing up your data is a good idea, especially if you're using Steam or other software that relies on saved files. Since your system uses an SSD for the main drive and boots from it, data should remain intact after the changes. Just ensure you save any important files before proceeding. Let me know if you need more specific guidance!

A320 boards are only suitable for Athlons and it's unclear if they really support Ryzen 3000. For better performance, opt for a solid B450 board such as an MSI B450 PRO-VDH Max or B450-A PRO Max (the Max models work with Zen 2 by default). Also consider upgrading to faster RAM, like 3200/3600MHz.

They usually provide compatible bios even if not officially stated. If you're using a 6-core Ryzen CPU, just remember the 3500X is the only exception—unless you really need an AM4 board and want to save money. Which country are you purchasing from? What's your budget looking like?

Sure, I’ll check out the B450M PRO-VDH Max motherboard. For RAM, speed matters a lot—though I picked the cheaper option now, I’ll upgrade to something faster if needed.

Your UK expenses are about £300, aiming for the most affordable options without major sacrifices.

When staying close to the budget, you can find a board with a solid VRM heat sink and built-in compatibility right out of the box.

Just a little under the budget is acceptable; during quarantine I can't afford to spend more on anything else. The list seems solid for purchasing those items. Will they come ready to use, or will I need to replace the hardware and set up my boot drive? Any guidance would be appreciated.

It might be necessary to reinstall Windows; consider backing up your data to an external storage device beforehand. If everything functions smoothly once all drives are connected, you’re ready to proceed. Remember to turn on XMP for optimal performance.

I'll keep an eye on the situation and cross that bridge once I'm ready. Appreciate the assistance.
