The information is found in the screenshots; the current version is 2.08.0. Comparing with 2.03 from October 2022 highlights the inconsistency. HWiNFO was used for verification.
It's notable that the updated release displays inaccurate readings. For reference, version 2.08 appears on my machine running DDR4 RAM. I'm familiar with the timing details. I can't activate the XMP setting on my computer and haven't fully explored the reason yet. The system is correctly listing the channels, which suggests the problem lies in how the software presents that information... But it's curious why this behavior changes with newer releases. It seems like the program is now showing module-specific data instead of overall system stats. Only that particular section remains module-focused.
HWInfo must display the mode as quad channel (especially on Intel), and both CPU-Z and Intel’s tool confirm quad channel. It could appear faulty on some systems or generally on AMD, but it should still list quad channel correctly. NOTE: The MSI skin version is slightly updated, though this doesn’t seem to impact functionality. Updated December 16, 2023 by RONOTHAN##
It looks like you're unsure about the situation. I'm not sure what exactly you're referring to, but it seems there might be some confusion or misunderstanding. Let me know how I can help clarify things for you.
It was a custom setup by PCSpecialist, and nothing appears online which is unusual. After downloading HWInfo, it shows dual-channel support and recognizes 32GB. Is this the standard configuration? Or should it be quad-channel? Please let me know if the EXPO problem has been fixed—reseating might have resolved it, and clock speeds are now at 3000MHz. Thanks!
We’ve confirmed CPU-Z might be the source of the issue with channel number display. Downloading CPU-Z version 2.03 will let us verify it. It seems your system should function correctly now—just the EXPO problem remains.
The October 2022 2.03 release can be downloaded as a portable file for fast testing. https://www.cpuid.com/downloads/cpu-z/cpu-z_2.03-en.zip
I checked it during this build and it displayed quad channel. It looks like a reporting problem has been ongoing.
