Hi there. I'm trying to figure out if my RAM is installed and working properly. Here are some points to consider:

1) In BIOS, when I turn on EXPO mode, it doesn't seem to run at 6000MHz anymore—it's stuck at 4600MHz. Is that normal?
2) Are both my two 16GB sticks running together in dual mode? I thought they were 64-bit, but now it says 32-bit.
3) According to some sources, DDR5 splits channels. If everything is set up right, should I see four 64-bit modules instead of two 32-bit ones?

I've attached my CPU-Z file, which might provide more details. Let me know if you need anything else!

It looks like the XMP profile isn't functioning as expected. Currently, it's not using dual channel mode. With DDR5 technology, each DIMM contributes two 32-bit channels, meaning the system reports a single channel despite having two. Technically, you can disable one subchannel to simulate a single channel, but this is mainly for validating memory speed. In reality, each 64-bit channel splits into two 32-bit channels, resulting in dual-channel operation with four 32-bit channels. To ensure proper functionality, check the slots your RAM is installed in—ideally slots A2 and B2. If they're correct, reinsert the sticks carefully. Misplaced slots can also hinder XMP/EXPO support, so address that first.

It looks like they should fit into the correct slots, but I want to double-check... Which slots did you set up for the modules?

I checked the motherboard manual, and they are labeled A2 and B2. I’ve re-seated the stick, but nothing has changed. My memory says 32GB with those slots, but the system isn’t running in dual mode. I’m unsure what’s wrong or how to fix it. Thanks for your help!

Isn't this typical? It's been this way for more than a year, and the memory benchmarks match expectations regarding bandwidth and latency. Mine

Based on online research, dual channel setups show specific memory configurations. CPU-Z indicates "4x32-bit" for dual channels. Comparing generations, single channel is 1x64-bit, dual is 2x64-bit, and so forth. DDR5 follows a similar trend—single channel 2x32-bit, dual channel 4x32-bit. The progression continues with higher bit counts as channels increase. Sources confirm these patterns, highlighting efficiency gains in multi-channel setups.

Recent searches highlight inconsistencies among CPU-Z updates regarding its reporting of chip specifications. Previous releases displayed 4x32-bit, while newer ones show 2x32-bit to better reflect dual-channel performance. I plan to verify this during installation with older versions. My hardware definitely operates in multi-channel mode.

I don't have access to your system's details, so I can't determine the CPU-Z version you're using. Please check your CPU-Z installation or settings directly.

The model you mentioned is the Corsair CMH5X16G1B60Z40A2, also known as VENGEANCE RGB. Are these the exact items you're looking for?
