Uncertain if the new SSD is appearing or missing in Windows 10
Welcome! TL;DR: This is perfectly fine and normal. The drive shows up 'twice' in the UEFI because it's detecting boot managers / partitions not just drives. You have an EFI partition which the UEFI can detect and sees that it has the Windows Boot Manager on it. So, it makes an entry in the UEFI. You also have the drive of course, which is detected as a boot device. Depending on configuration, just because something is detected as 'bootable' doesn't mean it will actually boot the operating system. You can have multiple boot managers (such as GRUB for those running Linux). In your case, from a cursory glance, it looks like booting from either the Windows Boot Manager or the drive itself would work the same way on a standard boot. But the Windows Boot Manager is still a choice, because it can manage multiple OS installs etc. The drive letter, C: D: etc. doesn't really mean much from a 'what's better perspective'. This is why in Disk Management you can change the drive letters (yup that's right, you can change drive letters from within Windows). However, leaving your default OS drive as the C: drive is a good way to avoid unnecessary headaches with programs which assume they are installing/installed to the C: drive.
