Good day. The system stopped working during gameplay, so I gave it a rest before inspecting again. Now it doesn’t display anything, not even input, despite the CPU fan spinning and the RGB RAM functioning properly. Even after testing the PSU, it still doesn’t work on this machine. I changed the CMOS battery briefly, but nothing happened. The only visible issue is a black screen on the integrated graphics card (I3 8100), which won’t spin or boot. No display appears even when all storage is removed and OS is cleared. The GPU seems to be working fine on another PC, so I’m unsure if the motherboard is dead. I don’t have any nearby friends with compatible specs, and I don’t want to waste money on a new board just in case.

Even though placing the GPU on the PCIe fan didn't spin it up, the PC has been operational for over a year with the GPU working fine. The recent incident involved a system with an i3 8100, ASUS H310M, 2.0 GHz, 8GB HyperX RAM, 4GB RGB Super Lux RAM, and a 1050Ti motherboard running at 500W 80+ BR. It uses two HDDs.

Are there any blinking lights on the board during startup? Is there a visible indicator that might signal an issue? Certain systems include a tiny LCD screen to show error messages when problems arise during boot.

Between the CPU and motherboard, the motherboard is most likely the issue. Have you already reset the board by shorting the reset pins on it while the PC was off? For troubleshooting, simply connect the bare minimum—CPU, motherboard, and PSU—and attach the monitor to the board.

I don't see any visible harm. There are no obvious signs of damaged components such as leaking capacitors or bent pins in the socket.

It seems uncertain if it's a LED, but the display does indicate something. I checked briefly and saw a quick flash for about 2 seconds followed by a slower flash lasting 4 seconds. When testing with CPU, memory, PSU, it confirmed all three signals, so I had to connect each one separately. Still unsure if everything is correct, especially since the first thing I noticed was RAM, then it became integrated, and now I’m not sure what to do next.

You're dealing with a basic troubleshooting step. After reseating the device and only fixing the CMOS and component issues, check if the system boots at all. If not, proceed with further steps as described. The flashing you mentioned is likely part of the initial setup process.

I didn’t find any pins on the I3 8100, so I checked the Bnew version—it looks identical. The capacitor also didn’t show up much, probably because I didn’t see any damage or breaks on either side.

the pins on the motherboard for the i3 8100 are referred to as lga, which means they have a different design compared to the long pins that stick out. regarding the capacitors, it's unclear what term you mean, but they likely aren't pins either.
