You're experiencing inconsistent download speeds across platforms despite advertised faster Ethernet. This could be due to network congestion, server load, or regional restrictions. The upload speeds might also vary based on the site's policies or bandwidth limits. Check your internet plan details and consider testing from different locations.

71 Mbps equals about 8.875 MB/s. A 6 Mbps rate corresponds to 0.75 MB/s, while 1 MB/s is equivalent to 8 Mbps. These values represent different units—Mbps and MB/s are distinct measurements. Mb/s stands for megabits per second, and MB/s means megabytes per second.

ISPs typically use a fixed upload and download ratio, such as 10:1. Streaming content from websites isn't fair to internet speed because any server along your path can experience heavy traffic, slowing your downloads. Steam is often criticized for lag due to massive user traffic.

That's just... Wrong. They're different units, 8:1 ratio. There are performance overheads, but there's no significant difference in bandwidth here.

I didn't intend the 10:1 ratio to represent the precise value; it was included for clarity in the explanation.
