I received this connector from the RGB fan hub that came with your case (Corsair 220T). There’s no header on the motherboard or PSU. I’m confused because this is my first PC build. I’ve included a photo of the connector here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
That is a SATA power connector. All power supplies come with at least a couple SATA power connectors so if you take a look you can find a stretched L female connector that plugs into that male connector
This connection links to a different cable which then attaches to the power supply unit, not the cable you're using directly.
It's generally correct. Your PSU, especially if modular, should include a 6-pin to 3 or 4 SATA power cable. You can use one of the SATA power connectors and plug it into the provided connector.
SATA power options include connecting to a hard drive, SSD (2.5-inch) or an RGB/FAN hub (uncertain about the latter).
