Hello, I'm trying to begin overclocking but keep hitting a ceiling around 3500mhz without any issues.
I have an ASUS Crosshair Vi Hero motherboard that I haven't been able to update the BIOS for—currently running an R7 1700X with 1080 8Gb RAM, 16GB Dominator Platinum, a Kraken X62 water cooler, and an EVGA G2 650 w PSU.
I have a few questions:
1. What methods are available to overclock this motherboard?
2. How can I update the BIOS on this system?
I've already downloaded the latest BIOS, moved it to an SSD, inserted it into the BIOS slot, and reset the CMOS, but nothing has happened.
