I possess the 7900xtx and a Tuff gaming 950 watt power supply. The 7900 xtx demands three 8 pin connectors, yet after connecting the CPU to PSU on the PSU, only two 8 pin ports remain available. The site claims the GPU needs three. This isn't a minor issue—850 watts should suffice. The PSU comes with just two cables left: one unusual 6+2 on the GPU side and another labeled "CPU" on one end, giving you two labeled CPU connections. How can I resolve this? Would a higher wattage unit be necessary? I've checked 1000 watt models but they seem to have the same setup.

You made a serious mistake in selecting the power supply unit for your GPU. The PSU you received came with a 12VHPWR connector, which is likely why you used an adapter. Unless AMD uses this connector, you’d have chosen a different PSU that doesn’t have it. Ideally, it should have been a PSU without the 12VHWPR port, or a slightly larger one with four 8-pin headers to fix the problem.

CPU requires an 8pin connector, while the GPU needs three more. Ezpz. If you're using two for the CPU, remove one—it's completely unnecessary. The package includes four PCIe 8-pin slots, which is typical. Total pins add up to 6 plus 2 equals 8.
