I assembled my first PC yesterday and am attempting to set up Windows 11. I placed the media installation on a USB drive and connected it to the USB port, then tried to restart after saving and resetting the BIOS. I expect the Windows installer to appear but instead I see only the Windows logo and the process remains stuck.

Verify UEFI settings properly. Ensure Compatibility Support Module is turned off unless you need Legacy mode. If "Windows 8/10 mode" is active, keep it enabled even when installing Windows 11. This setting is typically the top priority, though it may be labeled poorly (XMP for Intel, DOCP for AMD, EXPO for AMD). When using a USB installation, check the boot menu for options like "UEFI: <USB model>" and select the correct one without "UEFI" before. Activate Secure Boot and confirm TPM is enabled—options include TPM, fTPM, Intel PTT, Pluton, or dTPM. Enable SMART access memory. Utilize Microsoft’s Media Creation Tool to install Windows 11 on a USB drive on another machine. Insert the drive into your system and start booting.
