We play fast and use as many attempts as possible on our machines, clearing them one by one until we reach a set of great levels.

Sure, I understand—just thinking about threads. If you have a 32-core processor, it would definitely be an upgrade. Having a 16-core CPU has always impressed me, and seeing a 5800X3D struggle really reinforced that idea.

Import options exist for Ryzen 7700 chips in the UK at relatively low prices if you're flexible. For Intel, the 245K offers solid multithreading and fits your budget, placing you on a more recent platform with a stable 14th-gen CPU—though the 265K is preferable under £300. Upgrading these processors seems unlikely due to their newer generation status.

I don’t care much about Intel; actually I’d prefer AMD. I noticed it costs more for more cores, but now I see I need threads, so AMD might be the better choice moving forward.

no need to spend on intel atm unless you find a cpu on sale (the 12700kf is good value for around 180 usd). if prices match, stick with the 7700x or 9700x instead.
