It occurred some time back and I wasn’t really concerned then. Still, it piqued my interest a bit. I purchased a refurbished motherboard (a used Gigabyte, not an original), assembled the system, and installed Windows 10 Pro from the installation disk. However, once it connected online, it auto-activated with a digital license. Did Microsoft link it to the previous owner’s activation? I don’t mind—it saved me from having to create one during the upgrade process.
I don’t complain at all. I create them myself using the in-place upgrade method—it’s fine for me, and it saved me some time. Microsoft is urging me to move to version 11, which makes sense. I’m curious if digital license activation works with GhostSpectre images; I’d like to know but haven’t tested yet.
