Unacceptable internet performance on Windows 11 development or testing stages
I've been updated to Windows 11 via the Insider Program and everything seems stable so far, except for my internet speed. It usually drops to a crawl for a few minutes and then recovers, repeating this pattern continuously. I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, reset the network, turned on and off firewalls, but nothing has resolved the problem. The internet remains slow, WiFi is better but unreliable, and I don't want to use it when I'm two floors above. This issue didn't occur during my Windows 10 installation, and I don't want to go back due to this annoying problem. The behavior affects all internet-dependent tasks like downloads and webpage loading. You haven't reached out to Microsoft or Intel for driver support. Instead, you should open a ticket with them to report the issues. Since Windows 11 is still in beta/insider phase, submitting your feedback will help them resolve the bugs. All public updates should be directed to the developers for broader availability.
I'm sorry, you're part of the insider program, which is exactly what this setup is designed for—introducing new updates and checking for issues before wider release. Most of the general public's Q&A is now available through Microsoft. For consistent performance, stick to Windows 10 supported versions and avoid the dev channel or Windows 11.
Have you explored a different browser? I consider it bold to be slower than Chrome or Edge on Windows 11 as well; could you share an internet speed test result?
It's normal to encounter ad blocking features and native behaviors. I'd also consider testing another browser and running speed checks.
I've tried Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Brave consistently, plus Discord and other apps. Internet speed tests always show 100% success, but results vary on other devices. My Windows 11 laptop works fine, while my main PC has issues.
