The built-in photo app doesn't support .heic files from my iPhone. I looked into the Apple guide, but it's meant for Mac. Do you know a solution?

Checked out the guide at howtogeek.com about opening HEIC files. Also looked up the same topic on Google.

Launch the “Settings” app on your iPhone, navigate to “Camera,” then pick “Formats.” Select “High Efficiency” to save photos in HEIF/HEVC format. Suggested action: go to “Photos” and under “Transfer to Mac or PC,” choose “Automatic” so HEIF files convert to JPEG automatically when you move them. HEIF is an iPhone photo/video format, though many other devices won’t read it unless they’re Apple devices.

Choose a great image viewer instead of the default app.

Download the HEIF and HEVC extensions from the Microsoft Store (both required) via the provided links.

I added the HEIF Image Extension from the Microsoft App Store. The context menu isn't available yet.

I followed your suggestion, so you won't require the HEIF image format.

You missed my message and the store page reminder about needing both apps.
